How to remove the P4 heatsink retention module

On: 23 November 2007

Step 1: Gently push the white pin through the motherboard with a screwdriver or another suitable tool. If you do this for the first time on a motherboard it might require a bit more force. Be careful not slip and damage any traces.

Step 2: Pull the pin out from the other side.

Step 3: Push together the black pins - they should go through the mounting holes.

Repeat for all four pins.
